First attemp of Bram Stikkel to create a repaint.
MAF Australia uses several Gippsland GA-8 Airvans. These repaints are for the commercial plane from Abacus, in their Premier Aircraft series.
The Australian MAF Airvans have a remarkable MAF logo on their tail, in dark blue on the VH-SPG Airvan and in black on the VH-MFX .

Lee Marrow creates airport scenery. A lot ...

Some people go full speed from the beginning if they get 'the taste' of something. One of them is Lee Marrow, an experienced texturer of planes, but now also building FSX airfields of which most of them happen to be used by MAF frequently, today or in the past.

Countries in which MAF is serving

Where on the world ?

Lee Marrow has created this add on and has kindly given permission to upload it on MAFsim.com too. Accra Airport (DGAA), Ghana. This scenery does add a cargo terminal plus lots more buildings and vehicles to the default airport. Also included is an AFCAD with extra parking slots.

Beautifull MAF and MAFsim.com video on YouTube

To our glad surprise, on YouTube, we recently ran into a beautifull video, created by JoshuaJe85, about MAF and about MAFsim.com. Joshua, thanks for this great job.

African Inland Airports: Airstrip FZKB Bambili-Dingila, Congo DRC

Version:
Microsoft flight simulator X
The default FZKB Bambili-Dingila airstrip in FSX is nothing more than a grass runway and a towerposition (no visible controltower ofcourse...).  So the more reason to bring this strip a little more alive. There are three parking places for planes, marked by pylons. No birds or mammals this time, mayby they come by later...

Small update for Aketi Congo DRC

Since I thought the surrounding area of the airfield'office' terrain was a little boring, I added some green of several places there.

Here's the third airstrip in the African Inland Airfields series, again an expantion off the default airstrip of FSX. Accoording to Google Earth - yes, I cóuld take an oldfashioned atlas instead of it too, I know - Aketi airstrip can be found in the North part of Congo DRC, about in the middle between West and East.

Great article about the requirements for a mission aviation pilot

in

Ever considered using your (flying-)skills for MAF? Today on iamanet.org a great article about what it needs to become a mission aviation pilot. Tecnical, mental,  attitude and practical capabilities... you all need a lot of them all. Read all about it here.

< No strait and plain landing areas for MAF pilots. The airstrips are typically hacked out of jungle, sometimes on mountainsides. Cleared areas can be little more than 1,000 feet in length, and sloped 20 degrees or more.
