Much patience has been demanded from all MAFsim.com visitors. But, rejoice: finally here is a new piece of scenery again. This time a main airport in Congo (DRC) has been refreshed. It is an expansion of the default FSX airport. Lots of airport objects have been added, some roads, fences and paths too. Some green stuff at several places on the airport. Nature comes up everywhere... Some small sceneries in the scenery on several platforms.

Due to intense abuse by spammers, very little normal use and timeconsuming maintainance, we have decided to quit the Forum. In future we might create a new, better secured one, but for now this seems the best solution. Ofcourse you can keep in contact with us by mail.

We have MAF textures. We have MAF scenery. We have MAF info. But finally here's the latest memorable moment in the history of mafsim.com. The first FSX Mission reflecting a reallife MAF mission. The creator of this first MAF mission, Matthew Devenish, was the first person I ever approached with a request to see if he would be willing to create content for the not yet existing website for Flightsimulator hobbyists and the work of MAF.

Browsing the internet, I recently discovered a ready-to-download addon texture of a MAF DHC6 Twin Otter. It is only flyable with the payware Aerosoft Twin Otter X, but owners of this plane will be happy and... who knows, there can always come a repaint for a freeware DHC6 in the future ofcourse. For now this is the first DHC6 MAF skin.

Giving an opinion about Scenery Tech’s landclass, there is one thing I want to emphasis in the first place. Wether it be scenery, landclass-scenery or texture-improved-scenery, there is a noticeable smaller amount of developers that offer addons for practically all the world. SceneryTech made the choice to provide also the porer area’s in our world..

MAF Australia VH-NTC repaint for default FSX C208B

Working on the FS2004 textures for the Gippsland GA8 Airvan, I ran into pictures of a Cessna C208B from MAF Australia. In the previous release due to the incomplete photo's, I did not have the complete registrationnumber. In the meantime MAF at Gove airport has been so kind to mail the complete registrationnumber to me: VH-NTC.

They also confirmed this plane in not in service anymore, so...

Two more GA8 MAF repaints

Browsing the website-department www.maf.org.au, I discovered there are more Airvans that look about the same as the two published earlier this week, except they bear a different registration and - in the case of the RMG - one is registrated in Papua New Guinea, instead of Australia.

Another thing I discovered on those pictures is the registrationnumber being reflected on the downside of the left wing too.
